He belongs to a middle-class Punjabi family. Karan was born to Late Rajeev Mehra, and he has an elder sister named Kamsin Mehra.
He was dating his childhood friend, Devika Mehra- a fashion designer for nearly ten years before he married her in 2009. When asked about his wife, he said with complete adoration, “She is the best person I have in my life.” Unfortunately, he even divorced his wife after nearly eight years of marriage and he added that both of them were separated due to the glamour world pressures.
He was cast as an employee in an ad on television for working with actress Nidhi Seth, whom he eventually married on 24th January in a private ceremony held within Delhi Gurudwara. However, by the year 2023, they were separated. Nidhi described her marriage as “toxic” and described it as “the biggest mistake of her life.”
